March 2011I joined Weight Watchers back in August of 2010. I didn't really follow much but started to read the books and get an understanding of what I will have to do. This picture that was taken at my cousins wedding back in May is what made me think about how I always stand out in pictures with my family because of my size. I decide it was time, not to diet, but change the way I think about food and get healthy. With my quiting smoking I knew I could do it just needed to know how.
In September I started to follow the plan. Right away i started to see the pounds come off, and best of all I felt better about myself. Every week I would send out a message to my cheering squad and they would respond.
Come Christmas I had lost 17 pounds and was very happy with myself. Through Christmas season and New Years I still lost and proved to myself that I can do it.
Mid January my cousin and I decided lets go for more. We both joined the Sun Run Training. We do a big run on Saturdays, and then two other trains during the week. With the three trainings a week as well as walking the dogs and being a mom of two busy boys, I am happy to report that as of Friday I am down 32 pounds. The weight is just coming off.
Here is a picture of me in my Sun Run training shirt that we got today (don't ask why it took so long). I am finding that I love to run and with the right group it is an easy task. We are now up to running 10 minutes at a time, and increasing every week. I can't wait to complete this run. I think the overall feeling is going to blow me away :)
Can't wait to see what is next :) Will post a picture in the training bright pink shirt again in a few months.....lets see if there is any difference :)
